Care Quality Commission (CQC) integration allows Provider Manager to automatically retrieve and verify regulated provider data directly from the CQC. This means you can be confident that provider details are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant without having to enter them manually.
What CQC integration does
When you add a regulated provider, Provider Manager connects to the CQC to retrieve key details automatically. This includes:
Provider name.
Location address.
Registration status.
Current CQC rating.
Service types.
đ Note: Auto-populated fields are locked for editing, as they are maintained directly by the CQC. If any details are incorrect, you will need to raise this with the CQC directly.
Look up a regulated provider
You can retrieve a provider's CQC data by entering their CQC Location ID during the add provider process.
Click Add Provider in the Provider Directory.
Select Regulated Provider.
Enter the CQC Location ID, then click Lookup Provider.
Review the auto-populated details, then click Confirm.
â ď¸ Important: If the lookup fails, check that you have entered the correct CQC Location ID and try again. If the issue persists, raise a case with our support team.
Good vs poor practice
Good practice:
Always use the CQC lookup when adding a regulated provider to ensure data accuracy.
Check the CQC Location ID carefully before submitting to avoid lookup failures.
Raise any data discrepancies directly with the CQC rather than attempting to edit locked fields.
Poor practice:
Manually entering provider details that should be retrieved via CQC lookup.
Ignoring lookup failures and continuing without verifying provider data.
Attempting to edit locked CQC fields outside of the system.
Summary
Using CQC integration ensures your regulated provider records are always accurate, verified, and compliant. Always use the CQC lookup when adding regulated providers to reduce manual data entry and minimise the risk of errors.
