Generate a report or document

You can generate a report or document from any area of Access Provider Intelligence that contains the data you want to export.

  1. Click the area of Access Provider Intelligence that contains the data you want to export, for example the Providers list, a provider record, or the analytics dashboard.

  2. Apply any filters or customise your view to focus on the specific providers, data, or time frame you want included. Make sure any charts or tables you want in your report are visible.

  3. Click Export, Download, or Generate report at the top or bottom of the data panel.

  4. Select your preferred file format from the following options:

  • Portable Document Format (PDF).

  • Excel spreadsheet (XLSX).

  • Word document (DOCX).

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV).

  • Plain text file (TXT).

  1. Review your selection if prompted, then click Confirm to generate the document.

  2. Click Download when the file is ready to save it to your device.

  3. Open and review your document. You can then share it with colleagues or use it as needed.

📌 Note: Larger data sets may take a moment to generate. The download button will appear on screen when your file is ready.

🤓 Tip: Any graphs or tables visible in the platform are included automatically in your export.

Good and poor practice

Good practice

  • Apply filters before exporting to ensure your report only includes the data you need.

  • Use PDF format for reports you plan to share externally or present in meetings.

  • Use Excel (XLSX) or CSV format when you need to carry out further analysis on the data.

  • Review your export before sharing to check for any sensitive data that should not be included.

Poor practice

  • Exporting large unfiltered data sets when only a subset of providers is needed, which makes reports harder to read and share.

  • Sharing PDF reports that contain sensitive provider data with people who do not have the appropriate permissions to view it.

  • Using plain text (TXT) format for reports intended for meetings or audits, as the formatting will not be preserved.

Summary

Access Provider Intelligence makes it straightforward to generate professional reports and documents in a range of formats. Applying filters before exporting, choosing the right file format for your purpose, and reviewing your output before sharing will help you get the most from the report and document generation features.
