Use a Conversation Guide when creating a note in NotesCentre

Steps to use a Conversation Guide alongside a voice recording in NotesCentre to make sure nothing is missed.

Written by Billy Dilks

A Conversation Guide gives you a structured prompt to work to during a conversation or visit. Rather than relying on memory to cover everything, you can follow a guide that lays out the points to discuss, helping make sure nothing important is missed and that the resulting note has the detail it needs.

  1. Click New Note on the Home screen or the My Notes screen.

  2. Select the audio note option.

  3. Click Guide at the top of the note panel to open the guide alongside your recording.

  4. Select the guide you want to use from the dropdown, for example Case Details Guide.

  5. Begin your recording.

  6. Work through the guide as you record. Each section shows how many of its questions you have addressed, for example 0/2. Expand a section to see the individual questions.

  7. Tick a question off as you address it in conversation. A running total at the top of the guide shows how many of the total questions you have covered.

  8. When you have finished, click Finish and upload to send the audio for processing.

📌 Note: Ticking a question off is a visual aid only — it strikes through the question so you can see what you have covered at a glance. It does not feed into the AI summary or change the output in any way.

⚠️ Important: The guides available to you depend on what your organisation has set up. If a guide you expect is missing, contact your system administrator.
